Choir Rail Flowers are given in honor of Benjamin Fish in celebration of his 3rd birthday, by Grandma & Grandpa Hoch.

 We Remember With Our Prayers: Cayden, Margarete, Jacqui, Lynne, Marcia, Jackie, Margaret, Haley, Shari,  Fritzie ,  Earl, our military, and shut-ins.

 Sympathy & Prayers  to Carolyn Fox and family on the death of her husband, Richard. Richard was called to his heavenly home on Friday, October 6.

Memorial: A gift has been given to Emanuel in memory of Scott Danner, beloved son of Mary Danner, by Maxine Marshall & Carson E. Moore.

On The 3rd Sunday of Each Month, the Sunday School kids will be learning our lesson of the day by doing a Service Project.  Our first one is today. The children are making Halloween Pumpkins to take to our shut-ins.

Confirmation Bibles: The First Year Confirmation Students: Ethan Burns, Lucas Burns, Brody Conway, Katie Jordan, and Brayden Parrish, will receive Bibles at the 8:00 and 10:30 services this morning. The 2nd year class members are: Gavin Burns, Andrew Kollas, Carson Rife, David Stanforth, and Austen Valentine. We pray God’s blessings on these children as they continue their Christian Journey.

 An Evening with Katie*: Join us for a presentation on the Reformation by Katharina Luther (portrayed by Raylene Hlavaty) in the Sanctuary TONIGHT at 6:30p.m.  Learn about her role in the Reformation and hear hymns written by Martin Luther. This portion of the evening is free and open to the public.

The “Together by Grace” Book Studies will be held on this Monday, October 16 and November 13. Meeting times are 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. Study guides can be found in the Gathering Space.

New Members Class will meet October 23, November 6 & 20 and December 4 at 6:00 in the Gathering Space. This is for anyone who wishes to join our congregation or for any member who wants to be refreshed with Lutheran Basics. Contact Pastor Mark or Deacon Kevin for more information.

The Men’s Chorus will lead the opening hymn, A Mighty Fortress on Sunday, October 29, the 500th Reformation Anniversary!  Please join us!  It’s open to all!

 The Board of Evangelism invite you to the Annual Trunk or Treat & Spooky Maze on Halloween October 31 from 5:30 to 7:30p.m. Pass out candy treats from the trunk of your car for the children. Then the kids will enjoy the Spooky Maze in the Parlor. Your help is needed in the following ways:  donate candy, marked Halloween; donate decorations and lights, label them with your name and bring them to the church by Friday, Oct. 20; help in setting up the maze Oct. 21 beginning at 10:00a.m. and Monday, Oct. 23 at 10:00a.m.; help take down the maze on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7:30p.m. Contact the church office if you can help.

Reformation Sunday, October 29 we will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Please join us in the Gathering Space that morning and bring a dessert to share!

Fellowship Lunch: On November 2, at 11:30, the theme is Veterans Day Speaker will be Wendy Anders the Director of the Marion County Veterans. She will be bringing with her Mike Harris who is the President of the Veterans Park Association. She will be speaking about the Story Behind Veterans Park. We will be honoring the veterans of our congregation. We are asking that you let us know if you are a veteran, branch of service, and years served. Also, if you know of deceased members that served in the military, their names will be read, years served, and the branch of service. Any veteran that is a member of Emanuel attending the lunch will be our guest and your lunch will be free. Menu: steak, baked potato, cranberry salad, and dessert.

Don’t miss the Lutheran Men in Mission Fall Assembly. Come join us for fun, food, and fellowship at: First Lutheran Church,127 S. Columbus St. Galion, November 4 at 8:30 am- 2:00 pm (Registration 8:30-9:30 am)  A homily and communion will be offered. There will be service awards, presentation of bridge walk funds, and more.  Lunch will be served.

A Note From The Board of Stewardship: Consecration Sunday will be held on Sunday, November 5. By now you should have received a mailing that included information about Consecration Sunday and your statement of giving from January through September 2017. Next week Brunch RSVP cards will be included in the bulletin. They will be collected during the service.
