The Narrative “The Passion Of Our Lord, based on  Mark 14:1-15:47 will be read this Sunday.

The Altar Flowers are given in honor of Grandpa Dave and Grandma Cindy’s 60th birthdays, from Anna and Lydia Bradshaw.

 We Remember With Our Prayers: Cayden, Lynne, Marcia, Jackie, Margaret, Haley , Jim , Mike , Steve , Shari, Dane, Harlan, Sue, Jeanette, Dale, Carl, Arlene, Tom, St. Paul Episcopal Church Family, our first responders, military, and shut-ins.

We Extend Our Sympathy & Prayers to Rich Tubbs and family on the death of his mother, Mary Tubbs.

Jacqui Taylor was called to her heavenly home last Wednesday. We extend our sympathy and prayers to her family and friends.

Memorials: A gift has been given to Emanuel in loving memory of our father, Floyd Williams, on the anniversary of his birthday, March 26, by Cheryl & Carlton Williams and Alicia Mayes.

 Thanks to all my Emanuel church friends for the lovely cards I received on my 90th birthday. I appreciate them so much and have read and re-read the many notes enclosed. Maxine Marshall.

 Happy Birthday: Eileen Butterman will celebrate her 96th birthday on April 3. Let’s remember Eileen with our prayers and cards.

Thank You to those who provided Lenten Suppers during this Lenten Season. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and fellowship.

Seven Faith Practices Bible Study continues this Monday at 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. in the Gathering Space.

The Next Life’s Detours discussion group will meet Tuesday, March 27, at 1:30p.m.

The Church Office and Child Care will be closed on Good Friday.

The Youth Of The Congregation will be leading Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30a.m. We would appreciate you coming to share this very special worship service with us.  Also, please plan on joining us for Easter Breakfast between 7:15a.m.-10:00a.m. in the Parlor. Menu: Easter Egg Casserole; Steaming Hosanna Sausages; Praise Pancake Station (with all the fixings); Halleluiah Pastries; Joy of Beverages: water, juice and a Christian Coffee Bar! We would greatly appreciate your donations of: loaves of white bread; link sausages; coffee cakes; pastries; white milk; and orange juice. Please do not bring any pastries with nuts due to allergies. Circle the E (for Easter) on your yellow slips and write what you will be bringing. Please have donations to the church by Friday, March 30.  Thank you so much.

Blood Pressure Screening will be held next Sunday in the Library from 8:45 to 10:45a.m. Stop by and see Christy and Joyce.

The Next Fellowship Lunch will be held Thursday, April 5 at 11:30a.m. Our speaker is Amy Vanderhoff who works through the McKinney-Vento Grant and coordinates help for homeless kids in Marion. Amy is a member of Emanuel and her parents are Jean and Dale Yake. The menu is chicken or tuna salad (your choice) on croissants, fruit bowl, chips, and flaming pudding. Sue Rakow, Lou Ann Showalter, and I, Alicia Mayes, hope you will join us. If you plan to join us please circle the L and number attending on your yellow attendance slip.

A Fund has been created to help Students Experiencing Homelessness. Monetary donations are being accepted.  Please note this on your check or envelope.

L.S.S. Free Fresh Food Distribution: Friday, April 6 the Fresh Food Distribution will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Waldo, from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Volunteers arrive at 10:00a.m.  Donation items for this month are: toilet paper and cleaning products. A basket is located in the elevator lobby for your donations. The volunteer signup sheet is posted in the Gathering Space.

Do You Like The Idea Of A Quick Prayer, a moment with someone in need or just a smile? Blessings to Go is a developing ministry at Emanuel Lutheran. This ministry is looking for people who may be interested in providing prayers and blessings on the go. If you would like more information about this ministry, please sign up in the Gathering Space or contact Tanya Vela or Ann Thomas. We will be having a training in the near future.
