From the Board of Spiritual Life Cottage meetings will be held for members of the congregation to discuss the worship schedule for the coming future. These meetings will be held in the Martin Luther room. The dates and times are:

Bible’s Big Story – Our Story – Sat. April 6th 8am – 4pm. For our April Faith Journey event, we will work through the Crossways program, “The Bible’s Big Story – Our Story.” It is an overview of the Bible. Books will be provided, so please email Pastor Mike by Wednesday, March 20th if you’d like to attend so we can order plenty.

Spring Cleaning? You can support the CL Gregory Music Academy by donating gently worn, used, and new shoes.  Emanuel is hosting a drop-off event in the parking lot on Saturday, April 6th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Questions?  See Pat Thomas.

Emanuel Child Care & Preschool is planning to host their Community Parking Lot Sale on Saturday, June 8th from 9a.m. – 2 p.m., with a Rain Date of June 15th. Space is available to rent for $20/table. You set up items of your own to sell and keep the profits from your table. Refreshments will be available the day of for purchase as well.

Aluminum Can Drive – The Youth Group will be taking cans to Sims Recycling as a fundraiser for New Orleans trip. There will be a collection bin in the hallway. Cans will be collected now through July!

Please Be Mindful that many of our worship services are livestreamed and there are live microphones before, during, and after services. These microphones can pick up and broadcast conversations from the sanctuary.

30 years and counting…Please join us Friday, April 5th at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate our child care program! Dinner will be served as we take a look back at our history… and announce Our Plans for the future! Entertainment provided by Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance featuring our very own Rain Pryor-Poole. Childcare will be provided.

All Creation Sings – a workshop for Rostered Leaders, Church Musicians, and anyone excited about the Church’s song! Saturday, April 20th at 9:00a.m. at Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse. Register at https://nwos-elca.church. A pew edition of the ACS is included with the $25 registration fee.

Join us for Book Study! Bishop Daniel has stated 2024 will be the Year of Rest. To join in this process, we will work through “Keeping the Sabbath Wholly – Ceasing, Resting, Embracing, Feasting” by Marva J. Dawn. This book is more about living a holistic spiritual life, and goes far beyond just keeping Sabbath. We will be working through this book for most of 2024. We have in-person gatherings on Thursdays at 11:30a and 5:30p. We also have a virtual session on Sunday nights at 6:30p. If you would like the zoom link for the virtual session, send an email to Pastor Mike.

Feed the Need is currently in need of ground beef and pudding cups. Donations can be placed in the kitchen. Thank you again!

The March 150th Anniversary Display – The Anniversary Display in the Gathering Space is updated each month. Check it out and learn a little about Emanuel’s History!

Socks, Socks, and more Socks! Back to School Blessing will again give away socks to our neighborhood participants.  We are asking the congregation to donate children to adult sized socks. We are starting earlier this year in hopes of having lots to give away. A bin will be provided by the elevator on the first floor.
