Audio Visual Training We are finishing up projects in the sanctuary! Our radio and livestream sound and look great. Teri Turner is coordinating a training session in August for anyone who might be interested in helping with the av equipment during services. If you are interested, please sign up on the sheet by the sound board. Thank you!
Special Congregational Meeting Announcement PPC has called a special meeting for Sunday, July 27th immediately following the 9am worship service. There will be only one service at 9am that day. We will be discussing and reporting on the ongoing and future projects at Emanuel, discussing revisions to our constitution, and also discussing worship opportunities. All confirmed members of Emanuel are eligible to discuss and vote at the meeting. You must be present at the meeting to vote.
Did you know that there is a Bible study at 9:30 every Wednesday morning in the lounge? I’m here to tell you that there is one and we want YOU to join us. We will begin a new study on the characters of the Old Testament on Wednesday, August 7th. Join us for one character study or the entire series. It’s a fun interactive way to study the Bible. Contact Dee Rinehart with any questions.

Thursday Book Study Updates: The Thursday book discussion group will be completing their study of the book “The Exvangelicals” on Thursday July 24th. We will not be meeting in August but will resume our weekly discussions on Thursday, September 4th in the Martin Luther room from 11:30-12:30PM. We will be discussing the book “The Poisonwood Bible” by Barbara Kingsolver. Please purchase a copy and join us for some interesting discussions on how missionary work sometimes fails due to lack of understanding cultures and social, political and geographical climates of those we are trying to reach.
Calendar Updates – We have so many things going on at Emanuel right now – Renovations, Outreach Activities, planning committees, oh my! Please make sure to contact Ashley Koehler in the church office and verify times/dates on the calendar before making plans. Thank you!
Don’t Mind Our Dust: Work in both the sanctuary and the kitchen has begun! Renovations take time, so please be patient if things are a little out of place or not quite finished, as these are works in progress. Thank you!
Call for Confirmation Students! If you are interested in starting confirmation in the fall, please reach out to Pastor Mike. Children are eligible to begin our confirmation program when entering 6th grade.
Sunday School Schedules – Children’s Sunday School plans to meet throughout June and July. They will take a break in August. Adult Sunday will meet August 10th and then resume weekly meetings in September.
Back to School Blessings This event will be here before we know it and we need your help to make it a success. A sign-up sheet will be in the gathering space listing different ways that you can help. There are set up and tear down teams, manning stations and handing out items teams, prayer teams and food teams. You can stay for part of the event or the entire event. The more the merrier. If you can’t physically show up and help, we need your prayers for a successful day. Let’s cheerfully support our community with prayers for a successful 2025-2026 school year and needed resources.
Back to school…Meeting
Don’t forget our final meeting will be on July 21 at 6:00 in the Parlors. We will tie things up and make a map with the event layout. Come with ideas.
